I met Okey whence he was a young whipper snapper attending “Cambridge University”. He was a nice young man, a bit wet behind the ears. So I set out on a journey to take him under my wing and transform him in to De Mejerrrr AKA Igbo Soca Warrior that you know and love today.

Jokes aside, it was a great day meeting Mejerrr (Okechukwu Destiny Obialo) some 19 years ago. We’ve been through it all; the lows and the highest of highs and we remain good friends, like Deontay Wilder would say, “til this day!

Remembering the day I met Nneka is easy. In 2009 a mildly frantic and Nneka was lost at the Brunel freshers fair until she met a friend of mine and we were introduced - very sweet and endearingly, a little shy.

It turned out that she lived below me in our not so glamorous halls of residence, Mill Hall, the place wasn’t cute but I’m grateful to mill hall, the building that housed my future bri-best friend.

The day that solidified that we would be friends forever was simple, starting off the day making cheese toasties in my bedroom even though the kitchen was right opposite, and smuggling snacks into the cinema - that was it!

Since then, we have laughed (a lot) together, lived together, cried together, holidayed together - the works! I’ve seen my best friends and sister I never had, realise her dream of becoming a doctor and now I’ve seen her fall in love and become a bride! Bring on Mr. & Mrs. Obialo!

I met Nneka during our time in secondary school and have been grateful to have her friendship from then onwards. Nneka is a friend who I know can always be relied on to be there when things are tough, and who you can talk to about the deep and meaningful stuff. But she is also the go-to for discussing the latest TV series and non-stop laughter during our girly film nights. We lived together in Tooting and Streatham previously - that was quite the experience, but I could not have asked for a more perfect person to live along side. Nneka was my bridesmaid last year and I am very excited and honoured to be able to do the same for her and be by her side for all the celebrations! You are a wonderful couple and I cannot wait to see you tie the knot!

I first met Nneka when I moved to Margate and rocked up in the middle of year 11. Moving from London was a difficult transition for me as a stubborn 16-year-old but soon i found my feet and was in an awesome foursome with Nneka.

Boy, did we have fun! Sixth form was a whirlwind. At one-point Nneka and I decided that we would remake the Lil Wayne Lollipop video at my house. i can’t recall the conversation that detailed the plans, but Nneka showed up at my house with outfit changes while we filmed, lip synced and re-enacted the video while my 11-year-old sister played cameraman!

We also decided to hold a debate in the common room to decide which of us was the biggest Chris Brown fan- something that Nneka has since grown out of! I can even recall all the moments, memories, and absolute hooters we have had over the years but what I can say is I am grateful and lucky to be able to call Nneka a day one friend ♾️.

CONGRATULATIONS NNEKA!! You will make a beautiful bride and an amazing wife, and I will always be there for you.

IIISSSSSAAAA WHOLE BRIDE PEOPLE - love you babe

What can I say about Nneka?! I met this lovely lady at medical school, and was instantly charmed by her. She’s impressive in every way; incredibly hardworking, intelligent, ambitious and driven, but perhaps more importantly is kind, loving and empathetic to everyone around her. She’s also saved me (more than once!) from some petty disastrous scenarios. She always has some wisdom ready to impart, and the sense to know when you need to hear it. For these reasons and more, I asked her to do me the honour of being my daughter’s godmother. I am absolutely over the moon that she’s met the love of her life, and I am so excited to play a part in her weddings!

I first met Nneka at a Christmas dinner in Reading organised by mutual friends of our parents back in 2014. Our friendship has grown over the years into a beautiful sisterhood filled with tonnes of laughter, shared aspirations, fun memories, support and faith. Nneka is truly a one in a million human being with the kindest heart. Multi-talented, loyal, eternally optimistic and a stunning diamond inside and out. Nneka is an amazing, generous, supportive friend to me and I know she will be an absolute asset to the Obialo family.

I met Okey at Nneka's birthday party in 2022. Okey was everything Nneka had described! I found Okey to be an absolute gentleman. Confident yet humble. Warm and engaging yet respectful. Great fun to be around yet responsible; all round a safe pair of hands.

I could not be happier for them both!

Dear Nneka, as we come together to celebrate this special day, I'm reminded of the family bond that connects us. Though life may have taken us on separate paths, I'm thrilled to witness the joyous moment as you and Okey begin your life as a married couple. Cheers to a future full of love, laughter, and a lifetime of cherished memories. With all my love and warmest wishes for a happily ever after!

I am the grooms younger brother and I literally met him the day I was born.

Oks and I met in secondary school aged 11. He took particular enjoyment pretending he had a twin brother called Joey. It took a week or two to uncover the deception however our friendship has developed ever since!! We've played football together and went on our first teenage holiday's together, with Oks proving to be a dependable, caring and considerate friend over the years!

We met through Patrice and instantly became brothers, going out together travelling together confiding in each other and becoming each others brothers keepers this fluid bond that has grown into a family one.

Me & Okey attended the same School (Barking Abbey).

He was the same Size & build in 6th form that he is now. I decided to hedge my bets & get him into a high & bye relationship via mutual friends ensuring my safety in the streets of Gotham.

We reconnected years later via a bunch of parties, stags do's, business ventures & sporting events.

In 2015, fate introduced me to Okey at RBS. Our connection ignited over post-work drinks and shared gym sessions. As young professionals flying solo, our camaraderie was instant. Unbeknownst to me, Okey possessed a talent for concocting "brilliant" side hustles. He infused me with the confidence to believe in my own millions-making potential. I was hooked, envisioning a future of financial triumph. Fast forward, those "genius" notions took me on a financial escapade, albeit not the one I envisioned. My bank account suffered, and I gained invaluable insights. Gratitude to Okey for transforming my quest for wealth into a wallet-whittling workout!
